ICELANDIC SHEEPSKIN

 

 

These Icelandic Sheep Skin Rugs come in several colors:
Solid Black
Cream
Brown
Silver
and a mixture of colors called a Piebald.

They are naturally curly but also come in straight hair which has been wash, comb and ironed to make it straight. The natural non allergic products they use leave the pelts so soft and smelling like febreeze air freshener

I have dealt with icelandic sheepskin rugs for 8 years now and recently found a new supplier when my last supplier sold out to new owners

These pelts are are just beautiful, the skins are much softer than the last ones I carried, you can literally hug these pelts they are so soft

Most of the new pelts are 60 inches or bigger

My last supplier would never do the area rugs up in Gray and browns but my new supplier has done it and they look Absolutely Wonderful!!

 

 

 

Special Notes:1) All sizes are approximate.  Each rug will be a bit different because the skins used to make the rugs vary. The edges are all natural not cut in straight lines

The fur measures 8-12" long

The white skins are "creamy white."  The natural color of the skins often has a yellowish hue to the color.  As the skins have not been bleached, they often have varying degrees of "cream."  With a wool length of approximately 8" to 12", the sheepskins make ideal rugs and furniture coverings.  The hair is so long that it does not go in one direction like a dog or cat's fur, but rather it falls in every direction.  This is not a hollow hair, so it doesn't break or shed. 
You can spot clean the rugs with a damp cloth or I do have a special cleaner, just email me for details. You can brush the rugs to keep them looking new.
